Tanzeel-ul-Quran In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
AlQuran -- Bestowed upon mankind -- is with Allah in the Master Scripture
AzZukhruf 43:4. And indeed, it is in the source of decrees with Us, exalted, full of wisdom. وَ اِنَّهٗ فِىۡۤ اُمِّ الۡكِتٰبِ لَدَيۡنَا لَعَلِىٌّ حَكِيۡمٌ AlWaqiah 56:77-78. Indeed, this is a glorious Quran. – In a Book, well guarded. اِنَّهٗ لَـقُرۡاٰنٌ كَرِيۡمٌ ۙ – فِىۡ كِتٰبٍ مَّكۡنُوۡنٍ AlBurooj 85:21-22. Nay, but this is a glorious Quran. – In the guarded tablet. بَلۡ هُوَ قُرۡاٰنٌ مَّجِيۡدٌ – فِىۡ لَوۡحٍ مَّحۡفُوۡظٍ Qaaf 50:4. And with Us is a Book preserved. وَعِنۡدَنَا كِتٰبٌ حَفِيۡظٌ AlQuran – Allah selects Arabic language for His final Message to the Mankind AzZukhruf 43:3. Indeed, We made it a Quran in Arabic that you might understand. اِنَّا جَعَلۡنٰهُ قُرۡءٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ The Month and the Night when AlQuran is revealed AlBaqarah 2:185. The month of Ramadan is that in which the Quran was revealed. شَهۡرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِىۡٓ اُنۡزِلَ فِيۡهِ الۡقُرۡاٰنُ AlQadar 97:1. Indeed, We sent it down (the Quran) in the Night of Power. اِنَّاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنٰهُ فِىۡ لَيۡلَةِ الۡقَدۡرِ Allah selects Roohul Qudus Gabriel to bring it to the prophet (ﷺ) AnNahal 16:102. Say: “The Holy Spirit (Gabriel) has brought it down from your Lord with truth. قُلۡ نَزَّلَهٗ رُوۡحُ الۡقُدُسِ مِنۡ رَّبِّكَ بِالۡحَـقِّ Allah re-affirms that this book is from Allah AzZumur 39:1. The revelation of the Book (the Quran) is from Allah, the All Mighty, the All Wise. تَنۡزِيۡلُ الۡكِتٰبِ مِنَ اللّٰهِ الۡعَزِيۡزِ الۡحَكِيۡمِ Roohul Qudus Gabreil transfers AlQuran in two ways to the prophet (ﷺ) Reading to him and directly transferring to prophet’s (ﷺ) Heart AlQiamah 75:18. So, when We have recited it, then follow its recitation. فَاِذَا قَرَاۡنٰهُ فَاتَّبِعۡ قُرۡاٰنَهٗ AshSuara 26:192-194. And indeed, this is certainly a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. – The trust- worthy Spirit has brought it down. – Upon your heart, (O Muhammad) that you may be of the warners. وَ اِنَّهٗ لَـتَنۡزِيۡلُ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ – نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوۡحُ الۡاَمِيۡنُ– عَلٰى قَلۡبِكَ لِتَكُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡمُنۡذِرِيۡنَ Message of AlQuran – First revelation received in the cave Hira (by Muhammad ﷺ) at the age of 40 AlAlaq 96:1. Read in the name of your Lord who created. اِقۡرَاۡ بِاسۡمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَ Message of AlQuran is completed with the following verse of the revelation received at Arafat at the age of 62 AlMaidah 5:3. This day I have perfected for you your religion, and completed upon you My favor, and have chosen for you AlIslam as religion. اَلۡيَوۡمَ اَكۡمَلۡتُ لَـكُمۡ دِيۡنَكُمۡ وَ اَتۡمَمۡتُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ نِعۡمَتِىۡ وَ رَضِيۡتُ لَكُمُ الۡاِسۡلَامَ دِيۡنًا Messenger of Allah (Muhammad ﷺ) reciting AlQuran to the people AlBayyanah 98:2-3. A Messenger from Allah, reciting purified pages (of Scripture). – Within it are writings (decrees), straight. رَسُوۡلٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ يَتۡلُوۡا صُحُفًا مُّطَهَّرَةً ۙ – فِيۡهَا كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَة ٌؕ
AlQuran is the Best Statement and the Revelation from Allah
AzZumur 39:23. Allah has sent down the best statement, a Book (the Quran), its parts resembling each other, repeating. Shiver from it the skins of those who fear their Lord (when they hear it). Then soften their skins and their hearts at the remembrance of Allah. That is the guidance of Allah, He guides therewith whom He wills. And whomever Allah sends astray, then for him there is not any guide. اَللّٰهُ نَزَّلَ اَحۡسَنَ الۡحَدِيۡثِ كِتٰبًا مُّتَشَابِهًا مَّثَانِىَ ۖ تَقۡشَعِرُّ مِنۡهُ جُلُوۡدُ الَّذِيۡنَ يَخۡشَوۡنَ رَبَّهُمۡ ۚ ثُمَّ تَلِيۡنُ جُلُوۡدُهُمۡ وَ قُلُوۡبُهُمۡ اِلٰى ذِكۡرِ اللّٰهِ ؕ ذٰلِكَ هُدَى اللّٰهِ يَهۡدِىۡ بِهٖ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ ؕ وَ مَنۡ يُّضۡلِلِ اللّٰهُ فَمَا لَهٗ مِنۡ هَادٍ
Purpose of AlQuran – Worship Allah with Sincerity
AzZumur 39:2. Indeed, We sent down the Book (the Quran) to you with truth. So worship Allah, being sincere to Him in faith. اِنَّاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡكَ الۡكِتٰبَ بِالۡحَقِّ فَاعۡبُدِ اللّٰهَ مُخۡلِصًا لَّهُ الدِّيۡنَ Seek protection with Allah before reciting AlQuran AnNahal 16:98. So when you recite the Quran, seek refuge with Allah from Satan the outcast. فَاِذَا قَرَاۡتَ الۡقُرۡاٰنَ فَاسۡتَعِذۡ بِاللّٰهِ مِنَ الشَّيۡطٰنِ الرَّجِيۡمِ Be silent and listen AlQuran when it is being recited AlAaraf 7:204. And when the Quran is recited, so listen to it, and be silent, that you may receive mercy. وَ اِذَا قُرِئَ الۡقُرۡاٰنُ فَاسۡتَمِعُوۡا لَهٗ وَاَنۡصِتُوۡا لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُوۡنَ AlQuran is made easy to Recite and Understand AlQamar 54:40. And indeed We made the Quran easy to understand. So is there any who would take admonition. وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا الۡقُرۡاٰنَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِنۡ مُّدَّكِرٍ AlIsra 17:106. And a Quran that We divided (into parts), that you may recite it to mankind at intervals. And We have sent it down as a successive revelation. وَ قُرۡاٰنًا فَرَقۡنٰهُ لِتَقۡرَاَهٗ عَلَى النَّاسِ عَلٰى مُكۡثٍ وَّ نَزَّلۡنٰهُ تَنۡزِيۡلاً AlMuzzammil 73:4. And recite the Quran with measured recitation. وَرَتِّلِ الۡقُرۡاٰنَ تَرۡتِيۡلاً AlMuzzammil 73:20. So recite what is easy for you of the Quran. فَاقۡرَءُوۡا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ الۡقُرۡاٰنِ Reciting AlQuran in the Prayers AlIsra 17:78. Establish prayer from the decline of the sun to the darkness of the night, and (recite) the Quran at dawn. Indeed, (reciting) the Quran at dawn is ever witnessed. اَقِمِ الصَّلٰوةَ لِدُلُوۡكِ الشَّمۡسِ اِلٰى غَسَقِ الَّيۡلِ وَ قُرۡاٰنَ الۡـفَجۡرِ ؕ اِنَّ قُرۡاٰنَ الۡـفَجۡرِ ؕ كَانَ مَشۡهُوۡدًا Allah invites to Ponder and Reflect upon AlQuran Suad 38:29. (This is) a Book, We have sent down to you, full of blessing, that they may ponder its verses, and that may reflect those of understanding. كِتٰبٌ اَنۡزَلۡنٰهُ اِلَيۡكَ مُبٰرَكٌ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوۡۤا اٰيٰتِهٖ وَ لِيَتَذَكَّرَ اُولُوا الۡاَلۡبَابِ AnNisa 4:82. Do they not then reflect upon the Quran. And if it had been from other than Allah, they would have found therein much contradictions. اَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُوۡنَ الۡقُرۡاٰنَ ؕ وَ لَوۡ كَانَ مِنۡ عِنۡدِ غَيۡرِ اللّٰهِ لَوَجَدُوۡا فِيۡهِ اخۡتِلَافًا كَثِيۡرًا AlHashr 59:21. If We had sent down this Quran upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbling (and) splitting asunder by the fear of Allah. And these are the parables We present to the people that perhaps they may reflect. لَوۡ اَنۡزَلۡنَا هٰذَا الۡقُرۡاٰنَ عَلٰى جَبَلٍ لَّرَاَيۡتَهٗ خَاشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنۡ خَشۡيَةِ اللّٰهِ ؕ وَتِلۡكَ الۡاَمۡثَالُ نَضۡرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَفَكَّرُوۡنَ Muhammad 47:24. Do they not then reflect over the Quran, or are there locks upon their hearts. اَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُوۡنَ الۡقُرۡاٰنَ اَمۡ عَلٰى قُلُوۡبٍ اَقۡفَالُهَا AzZumur 39:27. And certainly, We have put forth for mankind in this Quran all kinds of similitudes that they might remember. وَلَقَدۡ ضَرَبۡنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِىۡ هٰذَا الۡقُرۡاٰنِ مِنۡ كُلِّ مَثَلٍ لَّعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَذَكَّرُوۡنَ
AlQuran confirms Scriptures before it
AlBaqarah 2:89 And when there came to them a Book (Quran) from Allah confirming that which is with them. وَ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ كِتٰبٌ مِّنۡ عِنۡدِ اللّٰهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمۡ AlAnaam 6:92. And this is a Book which We have sent down, blessed, confirming that (revealed) before it. وَهٰذَا كِتٰبٌ اَنۡزَلۡنٰهُ مُبٰرَكٌ مُّصَدِّقُ الَّذِىۡ بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ
Allah promises to safeguard AlQuran
AlQiamah 75:17-19. Indeed, upon Us is its collection, and its recitation. – So, when We have recited it, then follow its recitation. – Then, indeed, it is upon Us its clarification. اِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا جَمۡعَهٗ وَقُرۡاٰنَهٗ ۚ – فَاِذَا قَرَاۡنٰهُ فَاتَّبِعۡ قُرۡاٰنَهٗ ۚ – ثُمَّ اِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا بَيَانَهٗ ؕ
AlQuran is Noor (Light)
AlMaidah 5:15. Indeed, there has come to you from Allah a Light and a clear Book (the Quran).
قَدۡ جَآءَكُمۡ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ نُوۡرٌ وَّ كِتٰبٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ
Ibrahim 14:1. Alif. Lam. Ra. A Book which We have revealed to you (Muhammad) that you might bring mankind out from darkness into the Light, by the permission of their Lord, to the path of the All Mighty, the Owner of Praise. الۤرٰ كِتٰبٌ اَنۡزَلۡنٰهُ اِلَيۡكَ لِـتُخۡرِجَ النَّاسَ مِنَ الظُّلُمٰتِ اِلَى النُّوۡرِ ۙ بِاِذۡنِ رَبِّهِمۡ اِلٰى صِرَاطِ الۡعَزِيۡزِ الۡحَمِيۡدِ AlHadid 57:9. It is He who sends down upon His servant manifest verses (of the Quran) that he may bring you out from darkness into the light. And indeed, Allah is to you Most Kind, Most Merciful. هُوَ الَّذِىۡ يُنَزِّلُ عَلٰى عَبۡدِهٖۤ اٰيٰتٍۭۢ بَيِّنٰتٍ لِّيُخۡرِجَكُمۡ مِّنَ الظُّلُمٰتِ اِلَى النُّوۡرِ ؕ وَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِكُمۡ لَرَءُوۡفٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ AtTaghabun 64:8. So believe in Allah and His Messenger and the Light (the Quran) that We have sent down. And Allah is All Aware of what you do. فَاٰمِنُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖ وَالنُّوۡرِ الَّذِىۡۤ اَنۡزَلۡنَاؕ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ خَبِيۡرٌ AlQuran is Hidayat (Guidance) AlBaqarah 2:2 This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those who fear (Allah). ذٰلِكَ الۡڪِتٰبُ لَا رَيۡبَ ۛۚ ۖ فِيۡهِ ۛۚ هُدًى لِّلۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ AlBaqarah 2:185. A guidance for mankind, and clear proofs of guidance, and the criterion.
هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَ بَيِّنٰتٍ مِّنَ الۡهُدٰى وَ الۡفُرۡقَانِ
Luqman 31:2-3. These are revelations of the wise Book. – A guidance and a mercy for the righteous people. تِلۡكَ اٰيٰتُ الۡكِتٰبِ الۡحَكِيۡمِ – هُدًى وَّ رَحۡمَةً لِّلۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ AzZumur 39:41. Indeed, We sent down to you the Book for mankind in truth. Then whoever is guided, it is for his soul. And whoever goes astray, so he goes astray only for his detriment. And you are not a warder over them. اِنَّاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ الۡكِتٰبَ لِلنَّاسِ بِالۡحَقِّ ۚ فَمَنِ اهۡتَدٰى فَلِنَفۡسِهٖ ۚ وَمَنۡ ضَلَّ فَاِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيۡهَا ۚ وَ مَاۤ اَنۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ بِوَكِيۡلٍ AlQuran is Healing and Cure for the Hearts AlIsra 17:82. And We send down of the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy for those who believe. وَ نُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الۡـقُرۡاٰنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَآءٌ وَّرَحۡمَةٌ لِّـلۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ AlAaraf 7:2. A Book sent down unto you (O Muhammad). So let there not be in your breast impediment therefrom, that you may warn thereby, and a reminder for the believers. كِتٰبٌ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَيۡكَ فَلَا يَكُنۡ فِىۡ صَدۡرِكَ حَرَجٌ مِّنۡهُ لِتُنۡذِرَ بِهٖ وَذِكۡرٰى لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ AlQuran is Wisdom Houd 11:1. Alif. Lam. Ra. A Book, the verses whereof are perfected, then explained in detail, from All-Wise, Well Informed. الٓر كِتٰبٌ اُحۡكِمَتۡ اٰيٰـتُهٗ ثُمَّ فُصِّلَتۡ مِنۡ لَّدُنۡ حَكِيۡمٍ خَبِيۡرٍۙ AlQuran is a Reminder Fussilat 41:41. Indeed, those who disbelieved in the reminder (Quran) when it has come to them (are guilty). And indeed it is a Book of exalted power. اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا بِالذِّكۡرِ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ ۚ وَ اِنَّهٗ لَـكِتٰبٌ عَزِيۡزٌ AtTakweer 81:25-28. And this is not the word of an accursed Satan. – Where then are you going. – This is not else than a reminder to the worlds. – For whoever wills among you to take a straight path. وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوۡلِ شَيۡطٰنٍ رَّجِيۡمٍۙ – فَاَيۡنَ تَذۡهَبُوۡنَ ؕ – اِنۡ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكۡرٌ لِّلۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ۙ– لِمَنۡ شَآءَ مِنۡكُمۡ اَنۡ يَّسۡتَقِيۡمَ AlQalam 68:52. And it (the Quran) is not except a reminder to the all the creation. وَمَا هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكۡرٌ لِّلۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ AlHaqqa 69:41-43. And it is not the word of a poet. Little it is that you believe. – Nor the word of a soothsayer. Little it is that you remember. – (the Quran is) a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوۡلِ شَاعِرٍ ؕ قَلِيۡلاً مَّا تُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ۙ– وَلَا بِقَوۡلِ كَاهِنٍ ؕ قَلِيۡلاً مَّا تَذَكَّرُوۡنَ ؕ – تَنۡزِيۡلٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ AlHaqqa 69:48. And indeed, it (the Quran) is a reminder for the righteous. وَاِنَّهٗ لَتَذۡكِرَةٌ لِّلۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ AlHaqqa 69:51. And indeed, this (the Quran) is the truth with certainty. وَاِنَّهٗ لَحَـقُّ الۡيَقِيۡنِ AlMuddassir 74:54-56. Nay, indeed this (the Quran) is a reminder. – So whoever wills, will take admonition. And they will never take admonition except that Allah wills. – He is worthy to be feared, and worthy to forgive. كَلَّاۤ اِنَّهٗ تَذۡكِرَةٌ ۚ – فَمَنۡ شَآءَ ذَكَرَهٗ ؕ – وَمَا يَذۡكُرُوۡنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ يَّشَآءَ اللّٰهُؕ هُوَ اَهۡلُ التَّقۡوٰى وَاَهۡلُ الۡمَغۡفِرَةِ AdDahr 76:29. Indeed, this (the Quran) is a reminder. So whoever wills, let him take the way to his Lord. اِنَّ هٰذِهٖ تَذۡكِرَةٌ ۚ فَمَنۡ شَآءَ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰى رَبِّهٖ سَبِيۡلاً
AlQuran is the Greatest Recitation
AlHijr 15:87. And indeed, We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Quran. وَ لَـقَدۡ اٰتَيۡنٰكَ سَبۡعًا مِّنَ الۡمَـثَانِىۡ وَالۡـقُرۡاٰنَ الۡعَظِيۡمَ AlQuran has no Ambiguity in it AlHijr 15:1. Alif. Lam. Ra. These are the verses of the Book and a manifest (unambiguous) Quran. الۤرٰ تِلۡكَ اٰيٰتُ الۡـكِتٰبِ وَ قُرۡاٰنٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ
